A timer app for tracking time spent on tasks and projects

Idle time detection is designed to keep your time tracking data clean and prevent issues with billing or timesheets. In short, Hubstaff sends notifications if you leave your timer running but go inactive.

You can set the interval for idle time. Maybe you want to be alerted after 10 minutes of inactivity, or maybe you don't want to get an alert until you've been inactive for at least 25 minutes. You choose when you want a notification, and the countdown begins when your keyboard and mouse activity stops. The popup gives you the option to discard that idle time on your timesheet or keep it.

You can add a note to a time entry in Hubstaff if you want to include details such as client numbers, codes, incident numbers, request IDs, ticket numbers, and any supplementary information about the task you're working on. Yes. Hubstaff Time (for someone who wants a simple timer and some reporting) and Hubstaff Desk (for someone who wants basic proof of work tools) are both free for a single user. These free plans give you the timers, reports, and payment features you need to manage your freelance or contractor business. To manage groups or access more robust proof of work features, you'll need an upgraded plan.
